I’m a South Alabama-based photographer drawn to movement, grit, wild places, and the stories that unfold when people step outside the ordinary.
My work is rooted in adventure, sports, people, brands, and documentary storytelling, with an eye for honest moments over staged perfection.
Whether I’m photographing athletes in motion, riders on the trail, teams in competition, community stories, or organizations with something meaningful to say, I look for images that feel earned, lived-in, and true.
THE STORY BEHIND THE CAMERA
Before photography became a central part of my creative life, I spent 23 years serving in the U.S. Army Infantry, including multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
That experience shaped the way I see people, pressure, resilience, preparation, and purpose. It also shaped the way I work.
I’m comfortable in difficult environments, long days, changing conditions, remote locations, and situations where the story does not wait for perfect light or a second chance.
Today, as an author, adventure racer, mountain biker, and working photojournalist, I bring that same appreciation for endurance and storytelling into my photography.
I’m interested in more than what a moment looks like.
I want to capture what it took to get there.
HOW I WORK
The best photographs rarely happen from the sidelines.
I work close to the story. Watching the people, the environment, the details, the preparation, the struggle, and the moments between the obvious moments.
That approach applies whether I’m covering a multi-day adventure race, photographing youth sports, creating portraits, or working with an organization on commercial imagery.
The goal is always the same: Create photographs that feel honest, immediate, and worth remembering.

I’m prepared to work where the assignment takes me; from sidelines and family sessions along Alabama’s Gulf Coast to remote race courses, difficult terrain, corporate environments, and multi-day events.
